Eden Hazard had a poor return to Champions League football as fans took to Twitter to lambast his performance in Real Madrid's 3-0 loss to PSG on Wednesday night.

Real paid over £90 million to sign Hazard in the summer and on Wednesday he returned to Europe's elite competition, after a year in the Europa League with Chelsea, but things didn't go according to plan.

The 13 time European champions were well beaten by PSG and the Belgian forward, playing just his second game of the season, came in for a lot of stick on Twitter.

Hazard was outshone by a former Real Madrid winger as Angel di Maria bagged two goals in the first half to give the French side the lead at the break.

Gareth Bale had a goal disallowed before half-time but Los Blancos offered little in the way of any efforts, having no shots on target, and Hazard made no impact on the game.

Instead right back Thomas Meunier hit Real on the break in injury time to give Thomas Tuchel's side a famous 3-0 victory.

Will Hazard eventually shine for Zinedine Zidane's side?
