Real Madrid Plotting Move For Chelsea Star In 2022, Want To Bring Him In Alongside Kylian Mbappe

Real Madrid want to bring Chelsea's Antonio Rudiger to the Spanish capital and partner him alongside former Bayern Munich star David Alaba.

Real Madrid are keeping close tabs on Chelsea star Antonio Rudiger ahead of a potential move for him in 2022, according to stunning reports.

Rudiger has started in all seven of Chelsea’s Premier League matches of the season as Thomas Tuchel’s men sit top of the table.

The 28-year-old German centre-back has established himself as a crucial first-team player under Tuchel, who sees Rudiger in his long-term plans at Chelsea.

But Rudiger’s future at Chelsea remains uncertain ahead of his current deal expiring in 2022, with the club locked in ongoing talks over a contract renewal.

However, Spanish newspaper ABC reports that Madrid are monitoring Rudiger’s situation and will make a move if he fails to sign a new deal.

Los Blancos are keen to recruit players when they're free agents rather than splash out high transfer fees amid the financial impact caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

According to ABC, Madrid’s plans would be to bring Rudiger to the Spanish capital alongside Paris Saint-Germain superstar Kylian Mbappe.

Mbappe, 22, is out of contract with PSG next summer and is free to speak with foreign clubs from January ahead of a potential exit from the French capital.

Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti saw both Sergio Ramos and Raphael Varane leave Los Blancos in the summer for PSG and Manchester United respectively.

It is believed that Madrid want to lure Rudiger to the club and play him alongside former Bayern Munich star David Alaba as part of a centre-back partnership.

Rudiger has also been linked with Bayern Munich and admitted that he was ‘honoured’ that the defending champions of Germany were interested in him.

“My future? I feel good at Chelsea where I am now, so that fits,” he said.

“FC Bayern interest honours me because that shows that I've done a few things right recently.”

Along with Rudiger and Mbappe, Madrid are hopeful of landing Manchester United superstar Paul Pogba on a free transfer next summer.
