"I'm really looking forward to what will be a special day at Old Trafford," Ferguson said.
"It will be great to catch up with some familiar faces and a great opportunity to support the work of Manchester United Foundation."
Sir Alex's first appearance at Old Trafford after his health scare came in September for the game against Wolves.
He was greeted to the most incredible reception.
Before kick-off the club encouraged fans attending the match to be in their seats for 14:45 BST and it made for a wonderful moment for all involved, especially Ferguson, who won 38 trophies during a remarkable 26 year spell at the club.
