Hashtag United Launch Academy Series To Try And Find The Next Big Star
Do you think you could play for one of the most watched teams in Non-League football? Well, this could be the perfect opportunity to showcase your talents.
Following the success of Hashtag United's first academy series - a competition were thousands of players competed for a contract at the Non-League side - founder Spencer Owen has decided to launch another one called 'Second Chance.'
If you were to win the process, then there are a number of benefits:
- Paid contract for 2019/20 worth up to £5,000.
- You become an Adidas Glitch athlete with sponsorship package
- You will play in the ninth tier of English football
Almost 20,000 people applied for last year's process, but only a select few were chosen for the trial.
It was an incredibly entertaining journey but Scott Pollock, who now plays at League Two side Northampton, was the eventual winner after coming up against Jack Durkin in the final.
The rise of Pollock is a great example of how Hashtag United's huge platform, a team who have over 440,000 subscribers on YouTube, can help you progress through the system.
