Harry Wilson's Goal Celebration Went Down Well With Liverpool Fans

Harry Wilson's Goal Celebration Went Down Well With Liverpool Fans

Harry Wilson might not be playing for Liverpool right now but the Derby County loanee enamoured himself to the Reds by scoring against Manchester United and then pulling out a celebration that they'll have loved.

Liverpool fans won't have had many better football days that their team haven't played on than Tuesday night as they watched rivals Manchester United knocked out of the Carabao Cup with one of their own youngsters taking centre stage.

Jose Mourinho had warned on Monday that the removal of extra time had made it more likely that cup upsets would happen in this season's Carabao Cup as games went to penalties and never has a prediction come so quickly to fruition.

The Red Devils were embarrassed as they were knocked out on penalties to Derby County but they were lucky to get that far. After Juan Mata had given them a very early lead they found themselves behind late on and needing a last minute Marouane Fellaini header to put them level.

Derby initially went level through Harry Wilson's brilliant free kick, from 30 yards out he found the top corner with a perfect strike.

The hit would have delighted both Derby fans and fans of parent club Liverpool but his celebration, the 'five time' celebration, pulled out by Fernando Torres a few years back, was really enjoyed by fans of the Premier League leaders:

Before kick off the 21 year old was excited about the prospect of beating his parent club's fiercest rivals saying, "Every Liverpool fan and Liverpool player wants to go to Old Trafford and win every time we go there."

Jack Marriott's 85th minute goal seemed to be taking them into the fourth round before Fellaini's equaliser deep into injury time took the game to penalties.

The sides took 15 impressive spot kicks between them before Phil Jones' miss saw the Rams through to the next round.

On a night without Jurgen Klopp or any other Liverpool players around a new Reds legend was born, impressive.
