Some Chelsea Fans Are Already Turning On Alvaro Morata

"Not my striker"

Alvaro Morata may have only been a Chelsea player two minutes, but some Blues fans are already turning on the club's record signing.

The Spanish striker arrived at Stamford Bridge earlier this month in a £58 million deal from Real Madrid and, following his opening two pre-season appearances, has failed to convince some sections of the Blues support who are, presumably, enraged that he hasn't opened his account with a pair of hat-tricks against Bayern Munich and Inter Milan.

The former Real Madrid and Juventus striker has, however, been producing some pretty special moments in training, as you can see below.

Today, as Antonio Conte's Premier League champions suffered a 2-1 defeat to Inter, Morata was handed his first start after coming off the bench against Bayern, earlier this week.

Instead of operating in his favoured position as a striker, however, Morata was played out wide on the left by Conte and made little impact before being replaced by Jeremie Boga just after the hour mark.

And, clearly, some Chelsea supporters are still seething over their club's failure to land initial top target Romelu Lukaku, who ended up signing for Manchester United in a £75 million deal.

At least Morata can rest easily knowing that Antonio Conte has more than two pre-season matches worth of patience with his players.
