Ronald Koeman uploaded a post on his Instagram following the embarrassing defeat to Arsenal, but the replies were bombarded with brutal messages.
The Dutch boss remains under intense scrutiny following a terrible week. Lyon inflicted more European woes on Everton after the 2-1 away win at Goodison Park, and their abysmal start to the league campaign continued on Sunday.

Arsenal came from behind to eventually secure all three points after beating Everton 5-2.
And following the game, Koeman took to social media to share his thoughts on proceedings. Though his sentiment was not received well from the Everton faithfuls.

He posted a picture of himself on the touchline accompanied with the words: "The start was okay, but it was impossible to get a result after 1-2 down and the red card"
Everton fans did not agree. Instead, reacting very angrily:
