One Spurs Player Is Taking A Ton Of Grief For His Display, Today

One Spurs Player Is Taking A Ton Of Grief For His Display, Today

"The guy's always cheating"

Harry Kane's injury has proven not to be the only bad news for Tottenham fans, this week, with Spurs suffering a late 1-0 defeat against Manchester United at Old Trafford, this afternoon.

Mauricio Pochettino's men fell victim to an 81st minute strike from United substitute Anthony Martial. It's a result that could leave Spurs eight points off the pace in the Premier League title race by the end of the day, should Manchester City take all three points against West Bromwich Albion at the Hawthorns.

And while Spurs put in a hard working display in a pretty scrappy affair, one player who has come away from the match to a chorus of disapproval on social media is Dele Alli, who was involved in a flashpoint with Ashley Young in the first half and dived in an attempt to win a free kick in the second half. The former MK Dons man also missed a glorious chance to give Spurs the lead just minutes before Martial broke the deadlock and secured all three points for United.

The England international's antics at Old Trafford certainly drew the ire of, well, anyone who's not a Spurs fan, essentially.

In fairness to Alli, the cocksure demeanor he projects on the pitch can often be successful in bringing out the frustrations of opposition defenders, which can often work to Spurs' advantage. It just so happened today wasn't his day.

But what do you make of Alli's actions? Do you think he should cut out the trash talking and the diving or are these so called 'dark arts' part of what makes him the player he is?
