We May Have Seen The Last Of Jamie Vardy's Blue Cast

Monday 27th June, 2016 was a very important date for a number of reasons.

Yes, England were knocked out of the European Championships by minnows Iceland. Yes, Roy Hodgson was sacked as manager but it spelled the end for an even bigger national treasure - Jamie Vardy's cast.

Nobody is quite sure what is under that thing. Many have speculated that the cast is actually a fridge containing BLU WKD but all we know is, this unveiling could even triumph Kane's unmasking back in 2000.

The Leicester City forward has confirmed that he has undergone surgery on the wrist injury he suffered in last September's win over Aston Villa.

Vardy told Leicester's official site the following about his wrist situation:

"The operation would have needed me to sit out for a few weeks, but I was desperate not to miss games.

"We were chasing something unbelievable and I wanted to make sure I was doing my bit with the rest of the boys."

Does that mean he will never wear the cast again? SAY IT AIN'T SO.

Maybe. But it is thought he will continue to sport the bandaged wrist during Leicester pre-season tour for protection.

Jamie Vardy's right wrist will be exposed to the world. We aren't quite sure how to feel about this one.
