Wolves are plotting a sensational bid for in-form midfielder Martin Odegaard, according to reports.

The 20-year-old, who is currently on loan at Real Sociedad, has made a real impact in the opening weeks of the season, scoring two goals in six games for the La Liga outfit.

Odegaard's current club, Real Madrid, appear to feel that he is not ready for first team football, loaning him out three times since joining in 2015.

But he continues to impress away from the Bernabeu, proving his doubters wrong on a weekly basis.

His stunning displays for Sociedad in recent weeks are certainly turning heads, especially at the-ever ambitious Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Nuno Espirito Santo's side are currently tracking the talented Norwegian, according to The Mirror, who suggest the midfielder may cost up to £20 million.

In fact, the West Midlands side could make their move as soon as the New Year if they are given the heads up by the Spanish giants.

Since being promoted to England's top flight in 2018, the Premier League side have made a real statement in the transfer market, bringing in the likes of Ruben Neves, Raul Jimenez and Rui Patricio.

But this recent rumour involving Odegaard has the potential to be their biggest move yet.

Earlier this week, Odegaard produced a piece of individual brilliance to create Real Sociedad's opening goal against Alaves, showing the world his undeniable talent.

He recorded this unbelievably satisfying assist on Thursday night when he set-up Mikel Oyarzabal.

The 20-year-old midfielder nutmegged a player before piercing a sublime through ball to his teammate who found the back of the net to make it 1-0.

Do you think Odegaard would be a good signing for Wolves? Is he ready to make a statement in the Premier League?
