Tottenham Are Close To Agreeing Incredible €62m Deal For Tanguy Ndombele

Tottenham are on the verge of signing one of the most wanted players in world football.

Mauricio Pochettino's side are reportedly close to agreeing a €62 million plus bonuses deal for Lyon midfielder Tanguy Ndombele, according to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio.

The news comes after Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas confirmed that Ndombele wants to leave the club.

The 22-year-old, who made 34 appearances for the Ligue 1 side last season, has been linked with a host of top European clubs this summer, including Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus.

But it looks like Tottenham have won the race to sign the central midfielder in what could be the biggest transfer of the summer so far.

There are only a few remaining details to address, according to the report, before the player heads to England for his medical

The 22-year-old made more key passes than any other player aged 21 and under in Europe's top five leagues last season, contributing massively in all competitions.

He notched seven assists in total, creating 47 chances while recording an impressive 89.1% pass accuracy.

As mentioned earlier, Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas announced in a press conference that Ndombele wants to leave the Ligue 1 side.

"He is seeking a departure. Nothing is done but the door may be open," he said.

"Tanguy Ndombele is wanted by the biggest clubs. Nothing is done. If he were to leave, we targeted a number of players. Thiago Mendes is one of them."
