The Fastest And Slowest Players In Manchester United's First Team Squad

The Fastest And Slowest Players In Manchester United's First Team Squad

Manchester United forward Romelu Lukaku has leaked results from a training session that involved a maximum speed test.

The 26-year-old, who is on the verge of leaving Old Trafford in favour of a move to Juventus, filmed the recordings in full, with full-back Diogo Dalot coming out on top with 36.43k/h.

Lukaku himself clocked an impressive speed of 36.25km/h, coming in second place while Tahith Chong, Marcus Rashford and Daniel James made up the top five.

In terms of the slowest players, left-back Luke Shaw was the surprise name at the bottom of the list. He recorded a disappointing 31.03km/h time.

But there's a reason behind his poor showing.

Shaw responded to the video by highlighting the fact he was told to "go 70%' before telling him "to not go start speaking."

To the surprise of nobody, Juan Mata wasn't far behind Shaw with a 31.79km/h time but he was still thrilled by his efforts.

"Thanks for finally showing the world that I'm quicker than Luke Shaw bro." he said.

United's midfielder trio of Nemanja Matic, Scott McTominay and James Garner also struggled to keep up.

Here are the results, which were later deleted by Lukaku after he was told by the club to remove it, in full.

Back in March this year, Lukaku claimed that he was the fastest player at Manchester United and to be honest, nobody really believed him.

But this recent test shows he does has pace to burn.
