Just One Premier League Player Played Every Single Minute Of Every Game In All Comps This Season

In all competitions, there was only one player who spent every second on the pitch.

He couldn't quite manage a win over former club Liverpool on the final day of the season, but captain marvel Conor Coady can say he's been a constant for Wolves in recent months.

In fact, the 26-year-old is the only player from a Premier League club to play every single minute of every single game in all competitions this season.

Coady has been involved in every second of the club's 46 game campaign, including FA Cup and EFL games, leading his team to seventh place in the Premier League, their best finish for 39 years.

Wolves still have a chance of playing Europa League football next season if Manchester City win the FA Cup, and the defender is clearly proud of Wolves' impressive achievements this season:

"Last season we all dreamed of playing in the Premier League - every single player in that changing room has lived the dream this year," he said before Sunday's defeat.

"It's been a wonderful season. It's important we go to Liverpool on a high. They're a fantastic football club, we'll go there to enjoy ourselves and hopefully win the game."

So why have Wolves been such a success in 2018/19? Coady puts it down the incredible support and 'clever footballers,':

"There's a lot of factors to it, the supporters, the way they make this stadium is incredible," he said.

"It's also the mentality of the boys and the manager, setting us up how we want to play and sticking to our beliefs.

"We've got clever footballers, everybody sees that. Ruben (Neves) knows what to do, playing that holding role really suits him because he likes getting on the ball but also, if you look at his positioning without the ball he intercepts a lot of play and makes sure he's doing his defensive work right as well."

Coady will be hoping that key assets like Neves will remain at the club as they try and further their form this season.
