Gaizka Mendieta Is Playing A DJ Set In The UK This Month And It Sounds Incredible
Gaizka Mendieta is known by many as the silky Spaniard who played for Barcelona, Valencia and Lazio, among others.
The Bilbao-born midfielder enjoyed a successful 16 year career before retiring in 2008, where he hung up his boots after a wonderful four year stint in the Premier League with Middlesbrough.
It was a sad day for football fans everywhere but 11 years later, the great Mendieta will make a return to England later this month when he appears as a guest DJ at The Shacklewell Arms, London.
That's right. On Saturday 19th October, the 45-year-old will be playing a mix of indiepop, post-punk, new wave and sixties music at the popular music venue.
Doors will open at 11pm, according to the Dice.FM website, as the guys at Scared To Dance host a night to remember.
