Manchester United's newest recruit Bruno Fernandes decided to pull on the shirt of Wolves winger Daniel Podence at full-time, and fans were quick to react on social media.

Fernandes made his eagerly anticipated debut for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side on Saturday night, just days after completing a £68 million deal from Sporting Lisbon.

And the 25-year-old enjoyed a decent start to life in the Premier League, recording a number of shots on target while dictating play from the middle.

Despite his best efforts alongside the likes of Fred and Andreas Pereira, a lively Fernandes couldn't help United to a much-needed win at Old Trafford.

The midfielder, who was named the Man of the Match by Manchester United's official website, applauded the home faithful at full-time and cameras followed him around the pitch.

He soon approached a number of the opposition players, including international teammate Podence.

Fernandes eventually swapped shirts with the winger and to some people's surprise, he pulled on the black and yellow colours of Wolves.

It didn't take long for social media to notice the shirt-swapping incident, and were quick to make a joke or two.
