Barcelona Fan Holds Up Lionel Messi Shirt In Real Madrid Section And It Doesn't End Well

A Barcelona fan decided to attend Real Madrid's pre-season friendly against Atletico Madrid on Friday night with the sole intention of causing mischief.

The supporter, who was wearing Barca's home shirt, sat amongst thousands of Real fans at the MetLife Stadium as Zinedine Zidane's side conceded seven goals in a quite frankly embarrassing display.

And to rub salt into the wounds, this bloke decided to bring his beloved 'Lionel Messi 10' shirt to the iconic New York venue.

Los Blancos' dedicated fan base were already fuming at the club's demise against Diego Simeone side and this was the final straw for some.

Several drinks were thrown at the guy, who eventually fled the scene with his Messi shirt in the air.

It was a poor night from start to finish for Madrid's fan base. Diego Costa scored four and was sent off for sparking a 22-man brawl alongside Dani Carvajal in the crazy 10-goal thriller across the pond.

Atleti's record signing Joao Felix also found the net along with Angel Correa and Vitolo.

It was like a scene from FIFA as Simeone's side went 6-0 up in the space of 50 minutes.

Real hit back with three goals of their own but it wasn't enough as Los Blancos' pre-season went from bad to worse.

Zidane's side will try and restore some pride on Tuesday night when they come up against Champions League finalists Tottenham at the Allianz Arena.

Can Madrid challenge for major honours this season?
