Ajax's David Neres Sends Dani Carvajal Back To Leverkusen With Filthy 5* Skill Move

Stop that.

Real Madrid right-back Dani Carvajal will want to forget this week in a hurry.

In the past seven days Los Blancos have suffered three consecutive home defeats, losing twice to Barcelona in the league and cup, and finally to Ajax in the Champions League last night.

As well as their poor record in recent weeks, many have noted that Carvajal's individual performances have not been up to scratch, and a moment against Ajax wonderkid David Neres summed everything up perfectly.

Neres, who gave Madrid's defensive line a headache throughout, produced this moment of brilliance in the first half to bamboozle the Spanish international.

If this was FIFA, I'd have rage quit as soon as he pulled this one off. Ridiculous.

The Spanish defender was the first to admit that Ajax deserved to go through to the Champions League quarter finals:

"In one week, we've lost everything. Our opponent was better than us and deserved to progress." he told Movistar Plus after the final-whistle.

"We've had a s****y season. I don't see this as the end of a cycle. We have a young team, but the margin for improvement is enormous; we have to face that and not shy away."

Real Madrid manager Santiago Solari has been called to leave the club by some fans, but the man himself played down resignation following Tuesday night's defeat to Ajax:

"I did not come to the club in such a difficult moment to give up," he said.

"What we must do is remain as calm as possible in such a difficult moment and take it on with the best character.

"Madrid is bigger than any of us - it always returns - and returns even stronger."
