Roma's Leaked Third Kit Is One Of The Most Beautiful Retro-Inspired Kits Ever Made

Roma's Leaked Third Kit Is One Of The Most Beautiful Retro-Inspired Kits Ever Made

Inspired by the Giallorossi shirt from 1990/91, AS Roma's new third kit for the 2019/20 season is arguably one of the most stunning designs yet.

The Italian giants only sported the original blue and yellow shirt on one occasion, in a defeat against Monaco, but the traditional jersey has always been a favourite among fans.

This is another classic from Nike, who always produce the goods when it comes to La Magica.

The ever reliable Footy Headlines posted a number of pictures of the leaked kit.

They also report that a subtle print featuring elements of several classic Roma badges appears all over the new third jersey, which includes the iconic Lupetto, or Wolf's Head, as well as the ASR initials from the penultimate logo.

Back in July this year, Roma dropped their new away kit for the 2019/20 season.

Inspired by Jupiter, the Roman God of the Sky, the lightning bolt design takes centre stage from the left shoulder to the right hip as the classic crimson and orange colours create a stunning effect.

Nike absolutely nailed this one, too.

Pete Hoppins, Nike Football Apparel Senior Design Director, spoke about the design on Nike's official website.

"When you combine Roma's famous colors with the depth of the city's mythology then you have a really potent mix," he said.

"The lightning theme is a powerful concept for 2019-20, and I think both the home and away kits give fresh takes while staying true to the club's identity."
