Paul Pogba's Amazing Start To The Season Down To 'Secret Training Sessions’

Paul Pogba’s amazing start to the season has been attributed to his secret holiday training sessions with an NBA basketball team last month.

Paul Pogba's incredible start to the Premier League season is reportedly due to the secret fitness sessions he did with NBA giants Miami Heat whilst he was on holiday last month.

According to The Athletic, whilst the Frenchman was on holiday in Florida, he took part in several strength and conditioning sessions with the Heat which allowed him to get into phenomenal shape before the start of the season.

Despite turning up late to Manchester United's pre-season trip to Scotland due to his involvement in Euro 2020 and quarantine rules, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was reportedly in awe of the physical shape that Pogba returned to United with.

This encouraged Solskjaer to start Pogba last Saturday in United's sensational 5-1 victory over Leeds where the midfielder produced a creative masterclass with four assists.

Pogba, who has now already defeated his league assist tally from last season, was quickly praised by the Manchester United boss after the game: "Today was just about, 'go out there enjoy yourself. We just gave him the freedom of roaming wherever he wanted to go and getting on the ball.

"All the best players would want to feel our trust and confidence, and Paul is one of those who can create moments out of nothing."

However, former Liverpool player Graeme Souness bizarrely dismissed Pogba's performance on Sky Sports as he claimed that was what should be expected "from a £100 million man".

In the aftermath of these comments, Rio Ferdinand defended the World Cup Winner: "When a man produces four assists on day one of the season, you've got to put your feelings to one side and say 'you know what, well played', because it doesn't happen often."

Whilst there widely are no question marks over Pogba's magnificent performance on Saturday, United fans still want to know if the Frenchman is willing to sign a new contract with the club as he edges into his final year where he could leave on a free next summer.
