West Brom Relegated On The Same Day Darren Moore Wins Premier League Manager Of The Month

West Brom Relegated On The Same Day Darren Moore Wins Premier League Manager Of The Month

Unfortunate.

Despite a valiant effort from Darren Moore and his West Brom side, the club have officially been relegated from the Premier League after Manolo Gabbiadini's 72nd minute winner sealed their fate.

Gabbiadini's goal lifted Southampton to 16th place in the Premier League standings as Swansea still remain in the bottom three, three points adrift of David Wagner's Huddersfield.

It was a tense game at the Liberty Stadium, but Mark Hughes' side put pressure on their opponents throughout the game and eventually triumphed in the second half.

That goal could be worth £120 million in the grand scheme of things.

West Brom's relegation arrives on the day that Darren Moore was deservedly named the Premier League manager of the month after what has been an incredible run of form.

Alan Pardew and West Brom parted company at the start of April, with the manager unable to change around their fortunes and take them out of the relegation zone, but a former Albion defender has worked wonders.

In fact, since taking over at boss, Moore has won more points against the top six than Arsenal have this season.

Who else will go down in this nail biting relegation scrap? Will it be Swansea after their defeat this evening?
