Netherlands Mascot Throws Up The 'V Sign' Ahead Of England Game

A young Netherlands mascot has become the talk of the town on social media this evening.

The ITV cameras were showing the Dutch players lining up and signing their national anthem ahead of Ronald Koeman's first game in charge at the Amsterdam Arena.

Then, out of nowhere, a young mascot threw up a double 'v sign' and showed her tongue to to everyone watching at home.

Needless to say, it prompted plenty of reaction from those online:

Does she know what the sign actually means? Was she just trying to make the most of her five seconds of fame?

Whatever her intentions were, she produced the main talking point from the contest and that says something about the opening 45 minutes we just saw!
