Khabib Nurmagomedov And Clarence Seedorf Launch Academy That 'Fuses Football And MMA'

Clarence Seedorf and Khabib Nurmagomedov have joined forces to create an academy that fuses both football and MMA.

The four-time Champions League winner, who played for Ajax, Real Madrid and AC Milan in a trophy-laden career, first met former lightweight UFC champion Nurmagomedov in 2020.

Both men, who share a desire to give back to society and leave a lasting impact on the lives of young people, soon founded SK Sports Holdings in Dubai as their friendship continued to blossom.

Now, the pair have launched their own football academy called Seedorf Khabib Performance Club; a school that will use a "unique training methodology" that combines football and mixed martial arts.

After months of discussions, Seedorf announced the exciting news on social media this week.

"I told you something exciting was about to come," Seedorf wrote on his Instagram. "I'm finally able to share this with all of you guys.

"I'm really proud to announce the global launch of Seedorf Khabib Performance Club. I've teamed up with my friend @khabib_nurmagomedov & our Global Partner @dmcc_authority to create the most exciting and unique football school.

"We want to give youngsters across the world the opportunity to develop their sport and social abilities with a training methodology which combines football and mixed martial arts.

"Dubai is going to be our launching pad to kick off this amazing project but we're aiming to expand globally within the next five years. A huge thanks goes to DMCC Chief Executive Officer, Mr. @ahmedbinsulayem, for helping us develop our vision.

"The project comes from our joint vision to give back to the community and our drive to constantly develop and improve sport as much as we can. A massive opportunity. An honour for me to kick off something like this.Time to get the ball rolling.

"We will soon announce our first partnership to open the first Performance Club."

Khabib also revealed his excitement about the new project.

"I'm proud to announce the launch of the Seedorf Khabib Performance Club yesterday," he said on Instagram.

"Together with my friend @clarenceseedorf we will build football schools around the world, combining football and mixed martial arts to support young generation in developing their sport and social abilities."
