Manchester United fans are calling for a boycott of the club's official TV channel with #GlazersOut and #CancelMUTV trending on social media.

In years gone by, protests have been made inside and outside of Old Trafford, with many adorning the yellow and green colours of the original Newton Heath as a sign of their dislike towards the current owners.

It has become somewhat of a movement of late and on Monday night, a section of fans campaigned to boycott the club channel.

Last week, callers were cut off from The Paddy Crerard Show, despite them having genuine questions about United's current situation regarding the ownership of the club.

#CancelMUTV began to trend on Monday night with almost 13,000 tweets, as fans posted highlights from the show.

One clip included the moment panelists suggested that Luis Suarez would be a good signing for the club.

Many fans are fed up with the current state of the football club, with a lack of transfer activity, as well as no Champions League football next season, being at the forefront of this declining state of affairs.

It has also been suggested that The Glazers have failed to spend a single penny on the club since taking over, with mounting debts among other points mentioned.

"We've all had enough, no more divide between us fans, no more greed in filling your pockets for commercial gain," said Manchester United fan Al Foran.

"Manchester United is no longer a long running solution to your financial problems, this is and always will be a football club NOT a commercial brand."

Last month, thousands used the #GlazersOut tag on Twitter and at one stage, 84,000 people had voiced their opinion on the matter.

It quickly became the number one trend worldwide.

"With the largest fanbase in the world, we can achieve any set out agenda" claimed one fan.

"People aren't aware of this, but the brilliance of Sir Alex ultimately saved this club from deep financial trouble when the Glazers came in." said fan account The Man Utd Way.

"Their takeover has drained United of more than £1b. Whether you're PL or grassroots level, this cannot be overlooked anymore."
