Netherlands U17's side played out a real life game of FIFA on Wednesday night.

Mischa Visser's side recorded a 1-1 draw against Kosovo, despite having a remarkable 90% of possession during the European Championship qualifying match.

PSV Eindhoven midfielder Mylian Jimenez opened the scoring after just 10 minutes when he slotted past Kosovo goalkeeper Rijad Bytygi to make it 1-0.

It looked like the beginning of a drubbing in Venray, Limburg.

PSG's Xavi Simons and highly rated Manchester United striker Dillon Hoogewerf starred for Holland's youngsters as The Oranje continued to dominate.

But the visitors somehow managed to stay in the game.

In fact, in the 69th minute, Kosovo capitalised on a number of errors as midfielder Granit Hana equalised from a corner.

The Lindo FF midfielder made it 1-1 after goalkeeper Dani van de Heuvel failed to parry his rasping shot. Game on.

The Netherlands continued to dominate, recording a total of 21 attempts on goal, but the hosts never found a winner and Kosovo walked away with a deserved point.

KNVB manager Visser rued missed chances in his post match interview.

"You know that you have to build up a margin during a competition." he said via Onsoranje.

"A ball can always go wrong. They had parked a double blue bus at the age of sixteen, we didn't get through it enough.

"We had no in-depth walking actions. Certainly in the first half everyone wanted the ball in their feet. Then you make the space that was already limited, even smaller."

Holland will play Wales on Saturday in their next European Championship qualifier, while Kosovo will come up against Slovenia.
