Manchester United Mascot 'Fred The Red' Spotted Winding Up Leeds Fans

Manchester United's beloved mascot 'Fred The Red' appears to have discovered new levels of shithousery over the summer break.

In the club's pre-season friendly against Leeds on Wednesday, 'Fred' decided to walk over to a group of supporters with the intentions of winding them up.

He proceeded to turn around and shake his tail at the fans, an action that left him slightly drenched after one member of the crowd decided to throw his drink.

'Fred' then waved at the fans as he departed, a decision that left some fans in stitches.

Manchester United went on to knock four goals past Leeds thanks to Marcus Rashford, Phil Jones, Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood.

It was Greenwood's first senior goal for the club and his overall performance impressed manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The Norwegian praised the 17-year-old, hinting that he may start in the club's opening Premier League fixture against Chelsea.

"Mason has a chance to start against Chelsea [on Sunday, 11 August], definitely. He is more than capable," said Solskjaer after the game.

"It is a good possibility if he keeps going as he does. It is difficult to keep players out who perform well.

"[I was] delighted with the goal he scored. That first goal is a weight off his shoulders. With his movement, cleverness, he's going to be a very good player. He's a natural footballer who can play anywhere along the front line."

Do you think Manchester United will be able to break into the top four next season?
