Carlos Valderrama Has Straightened His Hair And It's The Weirdest Thing Ever

Carlos Valderrama Has Straightened His Hair And It's The Weirdest Thing Ever

Colombia legend Carlos Valderrama became an icon in the late 80's and early 90's for his massive, beautiful Afro-blonde hair.

The former midfielder's trademark curly locks, combined with his flashy jewelry and unique playing style, made him one of the most famous faces in world football.

But in a more recent picture, the 57-year-old is almost unrecognisable after straightening his magnificent bushy barnet.

His new hair style has even appeared in a commercial with sports betting site Codere Colombia.

I'm not being over-dramatic or anything but, I don't think I can unsee these images.

Last summer, Valderrama promised to shave his famous curly locks if his beloved Colombia brought home the 2018 World Cup.

After announcing he would be a pundit alongside Jose Mourinho on RT, the 56-year-old was asked by the Russian broadcasters if he'd shave his head if they won the trophy, and he said: "If we are world champions... it's yes.

"I think it's important to provide all the information to Colombia and the whole of South America. We are going to have the information directly for Colombia, for South America, and that gives me a great satisfaction.

"We don't qualify for World Cups very often, you know. So, we have to use this opportunity and if we reach there, we live it in the flesh."

Please go back to the old, bushy Afro-blonde look and ditch the straighteners, Carlos.
