"After 18 exciting years, the time has come to put an end to my football career." he said on his official Twitter account on Friday morning.
Torres currently plays Japanese side Sagan Tosu but he leaves behind an incredible legacy in the game, and will forever be remembered for his time in the Premier League, as well as La Liga.

In fairness to Fernando, he's won the European Championship, the World Cup, UEFA Euro Golden Boot, the FA Cup, Europa League, Champions League and achieved third place in the 2008 Ballon d'Or competition.
He also made Gary Neville orgasm live on Sky Sports, so there's that too.
