Pep Guardiola has transformed the landscape of English football.

He became the first manager since Sir Alex Ferguson to lift back to back Premier League trophies last season and continues to win games, week in, week out.

But despite his remarkable success as Manchester City manager, the #PepOut movement is trending social media after a rare 2-0 defeat against Wolves on Sunday afternoon.

A late brace from Adama Traore summed up a disappointing afternoon for the Premier League champions, as the Blues struggled in large spells against Nuno Espirito Santo's side at The Etihad.

Pep Guardiola's side are now eight points behind leaders Liverpool in the title race after just eight games played - something that fans are far from happy with.

In fact, people are already making a snap judgement on Twitter, with City's manager taking the brunt of criticism.

After the full-time whistle, Guardiola admitted it was a bad day at the office for his side as they slumped to their first defeat of the season.

"It was a bad day. That sometimes happens. We started quite well and then we conceded two situations with two loose balls in our build-up - we got a little bit nervous. That sometimes happens. There's a lot of games to go.

"We lost to a good team. They're physical and strong in the air and fast on the counter attack and that's why."
