Despite being expelled from the Football League in August having not played a single game this season, Bury, formerly of League One, have won away from home more recently than Manchester United.

The club's disappointing 0-0 draw against AZ Alkmaar on Thursday night meant that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side are now ten away games without victory.

To put it bluntly, the Premier League side have been woeful on the road.

United's last away win came at the Parc des Princes on Wednesday 6 March, when a late Marcus Rashford penalty sealed a place in the Champions League quarter-final.

They have since failed to win in away games against Wolves (three times), Everton, Huddersfield, Southampton, West Ham and AZ Alkmaar.

On top of that, Solskjaer's side currently sit in tenth place in the Premier League standings after a miserable start to the season.

Bury, on the other hand, last won a game away from home on Saturday 9 March, when Nicky Maynard scored a late winner in a 1-0 win against Stevenage at the Lamex Stadium.

The club have since been hit with the devastating news that their EFL membership was withdrawn after owner Steve Dale failed to find a buyer for the club.

All of Bury's fixtures this season had been suspended, with the EFL not allowing them to play until Dale could prove the club had the funds to pay for the season, or had been bought.

But despite everything, at least Bury supporters can say they last won a game away from home more recently than 13 time Premier League winners Manchester United.

Thoughts on the current state of affairs at Old Trafford? Is Ole Gunnar Solskjaer the right man to help them get back to the top? If not, who is?
