England fans have called for Gareth Southgate to include James Ward-Prowse in his squad for Euro 2020, after the midfielder's performance against Romania.
Southgate has a choice to make for the 26th man in his squad, after Trent Alexander-Arnold was ruled out with an injury during last week's friendly vs Austria.
The England boss has until next Saturday to make his decision, 24 hours before the Three Lions first game of the tournament against Croatia.
On Sunday night, England hosted Romania in another friendly and Ward-Prowse's excellent performance led to compliments from all corners and left England fans calling for the Southampton midfielder's inclusion in the squad.
Gareth Southgate should take James Ward-Prowse to the Euros and employ him like a specialist kicker you get in the NFL... If you need a goal with 5 minutes to go, get him to ping one in for Calvert-Lewin to get his nut on :joy:- ODDSbible (@ODDSbible) June 6, 2021

Ward-Prowse has to get the last spot, surely- Oliver Holt (@OllieHolt22) June 6, 2021
If Ward-Prowse is in a top 6 team he goes to the Euros easily. Very tidy on the ball, closes down well, quality passer & capable of scoring/assisting from set pieces. If Henderson isn't fit he should take his place- Mark Branagan (@mark_branagan) June 6, 2021
James Ward-Prowse needs to be included in the Euros squad. You expect something to happen on every set piece he stands over. Really comfortable in possession as well- Jack Kenmare (@jackkenmare_) June 6, 2021
James Ward-Prowse should've always been going to the Euros.- Jack :star::star: (@isoncfc) June 6, 2021
This game has to have confirmed it though.
I think it'll be a mistake not taking Ward-Prowse to the Euros, those whipped in set pieces could be a real threat- Chris (@CEtchingham77) June 6, 2021
That's why I'd give Trent's place to JWP. Need a goal with 15 mins left, you send on JWP and Calvert-Lewin.- Matt Law (@Matt_Law_DT) June 6, 2021
JWP playing his way into the squad here surely, been top- Josh (@JoshLawless_) June 6, 2021
JWP with another superb free-kick. Get him on the plane/bus/train- Simon Peach (@SimonPeach) June 6, 2021
With the amount of times Grealish gets fouled, I'd be tempted to start JWP just for the free kicks alone incredible delivery on him- Trevor Lloyd :flag_black: (@Trevorlloyd92) June 6, 2021
With the Manchester City and Chelsea players still missing, having been given a week off after the Champions League final, Ward-Prowse, Ben Godfrey and Ben White all got starts, despite being cut from the 33 man provisional squad.
The Saints midfielder definitely impressed most out of the trio, before being subbed off in the second half for Declan Rice.
England scored the only goal of the game through Marcus Rashford's penalty. Jack Grealish was fouled before the captain for the night slotted home on 68 minutes.
Jordan Henderson, playing for the first time since February, had the chance to double England's lead, with a penalty of his own, but the Liverpool midfielder had his attempt saved.
