David Beckham's phenomenal assist from his time at Real Madrid has reminded everyone how much of a fantastic player he was.

The former Manchester United legend joined Real Madrid after a spat with Sir Alex Ferguson in 2003 and instantly became part of the famous Galacticos as he joined a squad with Raul, Zinedine Zidane and many more.

Whilst many fans view Beckham as a celebrity figure these days, many people forget how much of an incredible player he was for United and Madrid where he won six Premier Leagues, one La Liga title and the Champions League.

During his four years in Madrid, Beckham played 159 games for the club, scoring 20 goals and making 51 assists.

However, one of his most famous assists came in the Madrid derby where he unleashed a sumptuous long range pass which unlocked the Atletico Madrid defence and allowed Raul to head the ball over the keeper.

One fan said: "I swear he did that sort of pass every game. He's one of the most underrated players in history. I swear England would have been a bang average team without him in the side."

Beckham's assists and passing were one of his greatest assets as a player which have been appreciated by players from across the globe.

Former England manager Graham Taylor said: "His football does not seem to suffer by all of this going on around him. You look at his passing and he makes it look so simple.

"When he passes the ball, it always seems to go where he wants it to go. That sounds simple, but believe me, it is not."

Beckham's former United teammate Rio Ferdinand also said: "David Beckham is up there with the best passers I've ever played with; over a long distance he was 'radar foot'. Some left footers look beautiful when they pass the ball. His right foot was like that - it even sounded nice when he hit the ball."
