The fact that West Bromwich Albion still had a chance of Premier League survival with one game remaining was a minor miracle.

And the man behind it all is finally getting the recognition he deserves.

Darren Moore has deservedly been named Premier League manager of the month after what has been an incredible run of form.

After he was announced for the award, Moore, who made over 100 appearances between 2001 and 2006, gathered more than 100 staff at the West Brom training ground to share the prize.

An act that is typically classy of the 44-year-old, who has beaten the likes of Pep Guardiola and Roy Hodgson to the prestigious award.

Alan Pardew and West Brom parted company at the start of April, with the manager unable to change around their fortunes and take them out of the relegation zone, but a former Albion defender has worked wonders.

In fact, since taking over at boss, Moore has won more points against the top six than Arsenal have this season.

West Brom have been a team in crisis all season and sacking Tony Pulis didn't exactly help their cause.

If only the club hired Darren Moore months prior to the current day. What could have been?

The Premier League side confirmed that Pardew, who was only appointed in November, had left the Hawthorns with immediate effect with a statement that read:

"West Bromwich Albion and Alan Pardew have agreed to mutually part company today following discussions between both parties.

"Assistant Head Coach John Carver will also be leaving. The Club would like to thank Alan and John for their efforts and wish them well in their future endeavours.

"First-team coach Darren Moore has been placed in charge of first team affairs until further notice.

"The Club will not be making any further comment at this time."

Do you think they will get promoted straight back to the Premier League next season?

All we know is, the club just have to appoint the manager of the month.
