Manchester United hosted their annual end of season award ceremony on Thursday night, despite the fact their season has been a bit of a disaster, if truth be told.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side have failed to qualify for the Champions League are struggling to capitalise on other results in recent weeks.

And in terms of general performances over the course of the campaign, fans have been far from impressed with the team's style of play, among other things.

But anyway, last night's award ceremony celebrated the positive aspects of the 2018/19 season, although Cricket legend Geoffrey Boycott decided to give his brutally honest views on the past few months and it's a breath of fresh air

Although it was a tad awkward.

Check out the reporter's reaction when Boycott decided to let his feelings known. Priceless.

For example, when asked about the appointment of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer following the sacking of Jose Mourinho, the 78-year-old said:

"He doesn't have a record of experience, does he? He did a short time at Cardiff and then resigned honourably. He's looked after a team in his home country, but it's not the Premier League."

Not to mention the fact he called United's season a "disappointment."

Well, at least he's honest.

In terms of award winners, Luke Shaw was presented with the Player of the Year trophy after an impressive campaign for The Reds, although ironically, a defender won it in the same season the club conceded the most goals they have ever conceded in the history of the Premier League.

Fans also voted the 23-year-old left-back to scoop the Matt Busby award ahead of second-placed Victor Lindelöf and third-placed Paul Pogba.

Thoughts on the above interview? Is Boycott right?
