Jose Mourinho has identified his next marquee signing - and he wants Paul Pogba to help the deal happen, according to reports.

Pogba was pivotal in getting Romelu Lukaku to join him at Old Trafford in the summer, and was said to be trying to convince his compatriot, Antoine Griezmann, to make the move.

The Atletico Madrid striker was a top target for the Red Devils in the summer but remained in the Spanish capital following their transfer ban.

It's believed United's interest in the former Real Socieded man has now cooled, especially given that he is expected to join Barcelona.

And according to The Mirror, Mourinho has turned his attention to Juventus star Paulo Dybala, a good pal of Pogba's.

Why wouldn't you want to sign a fella who can score free-kicks past giant walls?

The £89 million man played alongside the Argentine ace for a season before returning to Old Trafford and they struck up a relationship on and off the pitch.

Mourinho spent big on Lukaku in the summer, £75 million to be exact, and though he started on fire, has struggled big-time of late.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has not going since returning from his ACL injury and doesn't look like he's got long left in the game after suffering such a devastating blow at this stage of his career.

And so United are on the hunt for a top-level forward, with £90 million-rated, Dybala, heavily linked in recent times, said to be top of their wishlist.

Dybala has scored 59 goals in 120 games since joining the Bianconeri, including 12 in 18 Serie A outings - the sort of form that has put him in the conversation for being of the best strikers in world football.

To quote Vince McMahon, there's surely "no chance in hell" that Juve would sell him mid-season but a summer transfer is much more likely.
