Olivier Giroud paid tribute to his inspiration Marouane Fellaini with his goal celebration against Southampton.

The Frenchman came off the bench to score in the 88th minute and rescue a point for Arsenal, who were well below par at St Mary's.

Incredibly, the goal was the former Montpellier man's 17th as a substitute in the Premier League, with Giroud now holding the record alongside Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

It was also his tenth goal after the 80 minute mark in 2017, and he decided to celebrate by pointing towards his name on the back of his shirt - something Fellaini has been doing for a while at United, as fans of the Old Trafford club will tell you.

Here's how fans reacted:

Giroud should probably have grabbed the ball and headed back to the halfway line, but fair play to him for paying tribute to Fellaini, one of the true greats.
