Liverpool Surrender 3-0 Lead To Draw 3-3 With Sevilla

Liverpool blew a 3-0 lead to draw 3-3 with Sevilla in the Champions League in an incredible game.

The Reds were flying in the first half-an-hour, with Roberto Firmino grabbing a double either side of a strike from Sadio Mane.

Jurgen Klopp's side looked set to inflict Sevilla's first home defeat since 2016 but remarkably, the home side completely turned the game on its head.

Star striker Wissam Ben Yedder bagged two, including a penalty in the 60th minute, to give the Andalusian outfit a real chance of getting something from the game.

And that they did, as in the third minute of stoppage time, Guido Pizarro popped up to complete a phenomenal comeback and ensure the second meeting of the season between the two finished all-square. Scenes.

Manchester United legend, and Sky Sports pundit, Gary Neville, clearly had his mystic ball out and correctly predicted that the game would end 3-3.

Here's how the rest of social media reacted to Sevilla doing a Liverpool, to Liverpool:

Despite the second-half collapse from Liverpool, they remain top of Group E on nine points - and are still on course to progress to the knockout stages - while Spartak Moscow are on six points, Liverpool have a superior head-to-head record.

What is not set in stone though, is who will finish the group as winners - with Sevilla remaining a point behind the Anfield club going into the final matchday.

WE LOVE THIS GAME!
