Liverpool Fans Rubbish Richard Keys After James Milner Put Down

Liverpool Fans Rubbish Richard Keys After James Milner Put Down

The former Sky Sports presenter did not please Liverpool fans after his summary of their current midfielder. Seems needless from Keys

Richard Keys has stated that Liverpool midfielder James Milner is not fit enough to wear the number seven shirt and should move aside next season for in-form Mohamed Salah to wear it.

The importance of kit numbers has diminished over the years and gone has the days where a team would play with a basic 1-11 on their backs.

Iconic figures such as Kevin Keegan, Kenny Dalglish, Steve McManaman and Luis Suarez have all sported the number seven shirt for the Merseyside club over the years.

However, Keys insists that the current occupant of the shirt is not good enough and believes the role should only be filled by "legends".

Keys should leave the tweeting to someone who's good at it like Peter Crouch:

Salah is already being mentioned as a future Anfield legend and it's easy to see why the Liverpool faithful have grown to love him already, with 36 goals in his first 41 appearances for the club.

The 25-year-old attacker has taken the Premier League by storm and has left Chelsea fans banging their heads over how they have let another top talent slip through their ranks.

Liverpool supporters on social media don't feel Salah needs the number seven shirt to obtain iconic status and feel he can achieve greatness as the number 11.

There is no need to dig out Milner because of his shirt number and Liverpool fans have relied on Mr Consistent since he joined from Manchester City on more than one occasion.

The 32-year-old is still to this day a vital member of Jurgen Klopp's squad and has gone under the radar this season, with nine assists in all competitions.

Wonder what Boring James Milner would have to say about it all. It'd be more intelligent than anything Keys has said before.

Should Salah be handed a new shirt number next season?
