Lionel Messi's Most Emotional Celebration Ever Happened On This Day In 2017

Let's take a moment to appreciate one of the greatest Champions League moments in this competition's incredible 62-year history, and Lionel Messi's highly emotional celebration.

On this day in 2017, Barcelona managed the seemingly impossible by scoring six times in 90 minutes against a strong Paris Saint-Germain side.

To put this priceless moment into perspective, I was writing the follow-up article with no voice after screaming my flat to the ground when Sergi Roberto scored in the final seconds.

It was a magical moment that will talked about for decades.

Even the often cool, calm and collected figure of Lionel Messi squeezed every last ounce of passion and relief from his body to celebrate with the adoring Barcelona support.

Here is Lionel's incredibly emotional celebration after Roberto's magnificent last gasp winner.

Incredible scenes:

Messi managed to score a penalty in the game, while goals from Neymar (x2), Suarez, Kurzawa (OG) and Sergi Roberto sealed a historic night at the Camp Nou.

It was an evening like no other, and former Barcelona midfielder Arda Turan summed up the moment perfectly.

"You call it "football team", we call it "Barca."

Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic also posted the same picture with the quote: "Come on! I can never forget tonight!!! Proud of this team and our fans!!!"

What a game. We're still speechless about the entire thing, to be honest.
