In a piece of news that will no doubt delight gamers, EA Sports have suggested that FIFA 21 will not be delayed or cancelled.
With the ongoing coronavirus pandemic having a monumental impact on sport in general, there were concerns that the current situation could have a knock-on effect when it comes to FIFA's upcoming release.
But during EA's fourth quarter fiscal 2020 earnings call, the company reassured fans and investors that they are on course to release their next installment in Autumn, with all indications pointing to a September 25th, 2020 release date.
EA Sports' CEO Andrew Wilson and others have finally shed some light on the current situation.

"We have a long history of creating spectacular sports content that's not directly dependent or reliant on the real world of sports," he said.
"We know today people are engaging with sports because that's what they love to do." CFO Blake Jorgensen added.
"If you are a sports fan, it doesn't stop,And so the only way they're getting their sports engagement is through our games, and that's a huge benefit for us."
Of course, the Bundesliga will kick-off behind closed doors this weekend but there is still uncertainty surrounding other top European leagues.

It begs the question; how will EA Sports deal with the fact that no football has been played since March?
They did mention rising engagement levels in recent weeks during their fourth quarter fiscal.
"With more people staying at home in the fourth quarter, we did see rising usage and engagement levels in many of our games." the report said. "We're humbled to see people wanting to connect through our games during this time."
It looks like FIFA 21 will be released as normal, even if the football calendar is in the balance.
