He may have only spent one seemingly mediocre season in charge at White Hart Lane but Tim Sherwood claims he created the platform for Mauricio Pochettino's success at the club.
A boast which has come much to the amusement of Spurs fans on Twitter.
Sherwood took over at Tottenham following the ill-fated reign of ex-Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas, who was sacked midway through the 2014/15 season.

Sherwood was essentially drafted in by Daniel Levy in an attempt to steady the ship following Villas-Boas' chaotic time in charge, which he achieved as Spurs finished sixth in the Premier League.
The 48-year-old also handed a first-team debut to Harry Kane during his spell in charge, a decision which undoubtedly helped Sherwood toward the best win ratio of any Spurs manager in the Premier League era.
And the ex-Aston Villa boss now stresses that without what he achieved at Tottenham, Pochettino may have struggled to turn the club into such a power house.
He told the Independent, "I always knew I was only getting until the end of the season and my win percentage was 59 per cent - which is high."

"And when the guy they have now took over from me, it wasn't broken. It was a steady ship and he has now added to it," Sherwood added.
Unsurprisingly, Twitter was keen to remind Sherwood of his shortcomings following that statement:
Pochettino's solid platform will undoubtedly be tested this weekend, as Spurs travel across north London to play fierce rivals Arsenal at the Emirates.
