Brendan Rodgers Mocked For His Ridiculous N'Golo Kante Comparison

Brendan Rodgers Mocked For His Ridiculous N'Golo Kante Comparison

Never change Brendan Rodgers!

There's a very good reason why there's a parody Twitter account of Brendan Rodgers called "Deluded Brendan". He might be a good manager but the Celtic boss has a reputation for saying some daft things, and he's at it again.

Rodgers is about to go the whole season without suffering a single defeat domestically, that means not losing in the SPFL, Scottish Cup or League Cup, a bloody impressive season for anyone!

Even in a league lacking any quality it's still a really impressive record. But no record on earth would ever stop the former Liverpool manager making himself look a little stupid.

Raise your hands if you really think Brown is as good as Kante! PA Images

He recently told the press about a very unrealistic story about a Rangers fan in Glasgow going up to him and saying he'd been a "breath of fresh air" to the league, yeah every fan loves to watch their rivals go unbeaten all season!

Now the deluded one has taken things a step further by comparing his very own Scott Brown to the best player in the Premier League this season, N'Golo Kante. Anyone buying that?

"I am very surprised [with the nominations for SPFL Player of the Year award]. I look at Kante down south, a central midfield player who is not flash and does the dirty work - but does it to a real top level.

"For us up here, I think that's what Scott Brown does. I don't know how he was last year, but consistently over 50-odd games this season he has been a top performer.

"He has had one bad game, Hearts away (as Celtic clinched the league). Every other game he was eight out of ten, nine out of ten."

Rather unsurprisingly the good people of Twitter weren't having this comparison!
