There would have been a lot of people horrified by Rangers' performance against Celtic on Sunday afternoon not least their fans. But perhaps the person most affected by the 5-0 hammering from Celtic will be Steven Gerrard.

Rangers knew losing at Celtic Park would hand Celtic their seventh consecutive Scottish title. Losing there would not exactly be accepted by Gers fans but they probably would have understood in hindsight considering their rivals dominance.

However being embarrassed 5-0 by Celtic and showing very little for 90 minutes will not go down well with the fans but it might have been of most interest to Steven Gerrard with the Liverpool legend reportedly about to take over as manager.

According to reports today Gerrard, who is currently managing Liverpool's under 18s, is ready to accept a deal to take over from Graeme Murty as Rangers manager for next season.

The 5-0 drubbing led to everyone on social media reaching for their phones to make the same joke about Gerrard:

By the looks of it Gerrard's first job in football management is going to need a hell of a lot of work.

Good look Stevie!
