Peter Crouch is a man of many talents, whether it's getting leathered at Kasabian concerts, doing the robot or scoring the occasional goal for Stoke City. What the 36-year-old Premier League stalwart perhaps does best, though, is relentlessly take the piss out of himself.

Yesterday afternoon, during a trip to the zoo, Crouch tweeted a picture of himself and a couple of giraffes or, as the England international referred to it, 'time with family'.

Since the picture was posted just before six o'clock yesterday evening, it has amassed an incredible 120,000 retweets and over 250,000 likes.

And while Crouch doesn't seem to be intending to retire any time soon, those numbers point towards a post-football career as a social media executive. We can fire someone to make it happen, Pete, don't worry.

And even Bayern Munich and Germany centre-half Mats Hummels couldn't resist getting in on the joke, generating a few thousand retweets and likes for himself, in the process.

Next season we're hoping Crouch just devotes himself to perfecting memes while playing the odd cup game.
