Sadio Mane had a goal disallowed by var for Liverpool against Watford and it's created more controversy.

Mane thought he'd doubled Liverpool's lead to 2-0 after a great header from a Xherdan Shaqiri cross.

But VAR got involved and ruled that Mane's armpit was offside and the goal was chalked off.

Fans on Twitter were quick to comment on the controversial decision and that a VAR result has finally gone against Liverpool.

It was a controversial decision that just shows the division VAR is causing in the Premier League.

Liverpool won the game 2-0 to continue their surge towards a first Premier League title.

They took the lead in the first half following a blistering counter attack which Mo Salah finished by curling past Ben Foster.

Salah then doubled Liverpool's lead with a lovely flick in the final few minutes to seal victory.

Watford were looking to impress under new manager Nigel Pearson and had lots of chances but failed to deliver.

One stand out saw Ismaila Sarr attempt a volley from inside the box which he mishit.

Abdoulaye Doucoure also spurned a glorious opportunity for The Hornets.

The second half saw Gerard Deulofeu hit the post directly from his corner.

Watford remain rooted to the bottom of the Premier League and six points from safety.

The result means Liverpool have restored their 11 point lead at the top of the Premier League ahead of their Club World Cup campaign in Qatar next week.
