The six-time Ballon D'Or Winner recently picked up his latest trophy to finally eclipse Ronaldo as the player with most Ballon D'Or's in history.
With Ronaldo no longer in La Liga, Messi beleives he's still in the top two with himself and that it was hard to see Ronaldo beat him to trophies while they were both in the same League for nine years.
"It was nice to have Cristiano Ronaldo in La Liga because of the prestige he gave him, although it was hard to see him raise titles."

However, even though Messi excluded himself and Ronaldo, he still went on to name his top five players.
The players being: Neymar, Sergio Aguero, Kylian Mbappe, Eden Hazard, and Luis Suarez.
Messi famously played part of Barcelona's trio known as "MSN", the trio combination of Messi, Suarez, and Neymar which went onto win a Treble together back in 2015.
Manchester City Striker Aguero made Messi's cut with the duo playing countless times together for the Argentinian National Team.
While Mbappe and Hazard have never played together competitively on the same team, with Hazard only sharing the same League this Season when the Belgian signed for Real Madrid in July 2019.
