Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho has been sent home from the club's US tour, promoting doubts over his future at Anfield.
There has been contradicting theories over Liverpool's decision to send Sakho home as the club have refused to comment on the matter beyond confirming his departure back to England for treatment.
Sakho is currently sidelined with an Achilles injury but is the only injured player in the squad to have been released from Liverpool's US camp .The likes of Matip, Lucas and Gomez are all injured, but have remained at camp with the rest of the squad.
The Liverpool Echo believe that concerns have been raised about the 26-year-old's attitude around the club's training camp, which has prompted his swift return to Anfield.
The fact that Sakho has gone home so quickly after arriving only last week has raised questions.
