Michael Owen Annoys England Fans Ahead Of Colombia Match

The former England striker gave his assessment ahead of the World Cup second round game and it hasn't gone down well.

Michael Owen isn't exactly a universally loved former footballer and now there's a new set of fans who don't like him after the BT Sport pundit annoyed England fans ahead of their Colombia clash.

Look if you go round saying that you don't like films there's every chance that you're going to be criticised a lot more than, well, a normal person!

You can't just blanket say you don't like films, like all recorded moving images are all the same and can be lumped into one category. Sure if you don't like horror films then okay but all films?!

I'm sorry but I'll just never forgive Michael Owen for that in the same way Newcastle United fans will never forgive him for his time there, Liverpool fans will never forgive him for his time at Manchester United and all football fans will never forgive him for his punditry.

Speaking of his wonderful insight it's fair to say that we aren't exactly missing it this World Cup and yet here he is popping up on social media.

Owen decided to have his say on England's game against Colombia this evening and he's not as positive as the It's 'Coming Home' brigade:

It's not gone down too well with England fans considering the optimism most have been feeling about the World Cup, even after the loss to Belgium considering the rested players and the result being potentially beneficial.

England might not beat Colombia tonight, they may well be going home tomorrow, but they have every chance of beating the South Americans and then anything could happen.

Stop being a hater Michael and just wonder who will play Harry Kane in the film if the Three Lions win the World Cup!
