Richard Keys Outlandish Premier League Prediction Doesn't Go Down Well

Fans weren't impressed with the former Sky Sports presenter's prediction but guys, it was just banter!

At some point we've all made some stupid predictions about sport and I 100% include myself in that. But it feels a bit early to be making predictions about the Premier League, especially when they're as bold as Richard Keys' latest entry.

Perhaps one of the worst predictions I can remember was a Celtic supporting friend telling me just how good a player Manchester United were getting in Liam Miller and that he'd soon be there best midfielder.

The Irishman would go on to make nine Premier League appearances for the Red Devils before the path often travelled by those who fail at Old Trafford, a move to Sunderland and eventually going to Australia.

Wouldn't have put much money on the Arsenal striker being the Manchester United hero when this picture was taken. Image: PA

As predictions go that was outlandish, terrible and far too early to really have enough information to back it up with.

And that takes us to Richard "King of Banter" Keys.

The former Sky Sports presenter took to Twitter to reckon that big spending Everton would finish above their city rivals Liverpool. But most fans just weren't having it:

One exchange between two fans had us in stitches:

Good work guys!

In fairness Everton have had a good transfer window bringing in Sandro, Davy Klaasse, Michael Keane, Jordan Pickford and now Wayne Rooney but catching Liverpool will still take a huge effort and the Reds won't be finished with their transfer business yet.

Favourite the Tweet and get ready to use it in 10 months time, for banter of course!
