Chelsea prepared for their Boxing Day challenge at home to Bournemouth earlier in the afternoon, without a recognised striker. And fans are far from happy about the treatment Michy Batshuayi has received.
The Belgian international has been forced to play second-fiddle to first-choice striker Diego Costa all season, but with the Spaniard suspended today, it was widely expected Batshuayi would lead the Blues' line.
However, Antonio Conte decided to go in a completely different direction, with Eden Hazard adopting a central position:
Having cost more than £30 million in the summer, it looks like Batshuayi could be considering his future at Stamford Bridge with the January transfer window opening...and fans of the club are definitely unhappy on his behalf:
What did you make of Conte's treatment of Batshuayi? Is he being unfairly denied an extended run in the Chelsea starting XI?
