Champions League Official Tweet To Messi Gets Hijacked By Ronaldo Fans

First of all, happy 30th birthday to Lionel Messi. Despite the majority of the footballing bubble wishing the Barcelona legend a happy birthday, the Cristiano Ronaldo 'fanboy's' were out in force when the Champions League posted a birthday Tweet.

Messi had an incredible season on a personal note. He bagged an incredible 54 goals in 52 competitions in all competitions last campaign.

Though Barcelona fell short in the La Liga, and got exposed in the Champions League before being dumped out by Juventus. Fierce rivals Real Madrid claimed both prestigious honours.

Barcelona did salvage their season by winning the Copa del Rey. But all-in-all, the Catalans had a disappointing outing. With Ernesto Valverde now at the helm, the European giants will be hoping for a change of fortune.

And he'll be relying on Messi who turns 30 today. The man who's won the Champions League a remarkable four times, received a birthday wish from the coveted European competition but the responses were hijacked by Ronaldo supporters.
